Last week there were 218 registered coronavirus deaths in Sweden, when in the other Nordic Countries – Norway, Island, Finland and Denmark – the total was 17.
In Sweden, the total number of registered coronacases in now 50 931. The total death toll is 4 656 people.
The figure is huge compared to the neighbouring countries, where the death toll has reduced close to zero.
For example, in Iceland there have been 10 recorded death cases related to coronavirus since April 28.
On Friday, the Norwegian government decided not to open the border with Sweden. Also Denmark has decided to keep the border closed for Swedes.
